Mr. David Taylor

Hello Schimelpfenig Panthers!

I am David Taylor, and I am delighted to begin my THIRD year teaching here at Schimelpfenig Middle School! 

I originally grew up in South Florida, but moved to Texas in 2011. After completing my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies at Texas A&M Commerce, I began my teaching career with PISD. This will be my 11th year teaching, and my third year here at Schim. One big change for me this year is that I will get to teach 7th grade English (hopefully students, you enjoyed having me as a teacher last year!). 

I thoroughly love and enjoy both reading and writing, and you can often find me at home lying on the couch with a book in hand (usually a Stephen King novel). My wife is also a teacher in PISD (Math at Guinn Special Programs), and because we both have the time off together, we frequently travel during our breaks from school. I also enjoy cooking, trying to keep my garden alive (especially a challenge in the Texas heat), and playing video games.
