Mrs. Samantha McCool

Hello! My name is Samantha McCool and I teach 8th Grade Science and AVID.  I also am the co-coach of the cheer team here at Schimelpfenig Middle School.  This is my fifth year in Plano ISD and I am so happy to be here.  I was born in Northridge, California but I grew up going to Plano schools. I was very excited to get the opportunity to teach in the district I loved so much growing up. 

I earned a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in mathematics from The University of North Texas and was part of their wonderful program, Teach North Texas.  In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends.  

My hope for this year is to not only teach my students to be successful in science, but to help them grow as people in our community.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and your students!
