Hello! My name is Ashley Anderson, and I am the English as a Second Language Teacher at Haggard Middle School and Schim Middle School! I am very happy to be at Haggard and proud to teach ESL. I am a Spanish teacher with 13 years of experience, and this will be my fourth year teaching ESL, and my fourth year here at Haggard and at Plano ISD! I have taught in other school districts such as Frisco ISD, McKinney ISD, Lewisville ISD, and most recently, I came from Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD. I love teaching languages, and I love working with middle school students! My hobbies include traveling, reading, shopping, going to the movies, board games, and spending time with my friends and family. I have been happily married for 19 years, and I have 1 Yorkshire Terrier named Teddy, and 1 Terrier-mix named Shiloh. I come from a Puerto Rican family, and I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I graduated from Denton High School, and went to the University of North Texas in Denton, where I got my Bachelors degree in Spanish. I am certified to teach ESL grades 6-12, Spanish 6-12, Social Studies 4-8, and ELA 4-8. I am very happy to be here, and very excited about the 2024-2025 school year! I hope it will be the best year ever!
